Pickup
The City picks up trash and recyclables (from houses with less
than 4 units) that are placed on the curb every week. If the trash
pickup day is a city holiday, the pickup is typically the next day.
Often the city will pick up large items (contact call 434-CITY for
specific rules). Once a year, during the spring cleanup pickup they
will pick up just about anything. In the past, the spring cleanup
pickup was on Saturday, this year it is the day of your normal pickup
on the third week in May.
